The Old Neighbour and The New - A Hardy & Barnes Walk

Meet outside Max Gate at 10 am.

Led by Tony Fincham. A 2.5 mile walk in Hardy’s footsteps across the fields to Winterbourne Came Church, where William Barnes was Rector and where he is buried; returning via Barnes’ Rectory to visit Max Gate garden. These houses and the beautiful walk over wooded Came Down resonate with both Hardy’s and Barnes’ poetry. Readings from the works of Thomas Hardy and William Barnes. Feedback

I thought the event had a really good feel to it - and people couldn't have been friendlier and more welcoming. Good luck with future events.
