Curtis Butterworth Loves Molly May

A play based on a story by Natasha Solomons adapted and directed by Emma Hill and Tim Laycock

In 1930 a Hollywood actress recalls her humble beginnings in rural Dorset. A bittersweet tale of an unusual romance, Curtis Butterworth Loves Molly May is full of humour and local folklore, the innovative use of physical theatre and new songs. Adapted  by Woolly Pig productions from a short story by Natasha Solomons it is set in and around Bulbarrow Hill.

Natasha Solomons is the author of Mr Rosenblum's List, The Novel in the Viola, and The House of Gold. She will be talking about her writing and her Dorset connections after some of the performances.

Woolly Pig Productions has been formed  by Emma Hill and Tim Laycock to create new theatre based on literary and musical works by living Dorset writers.

I thoroughly enjoyed all six events I attended and would have done many more if my time had allowed. Congratulations to all the people involved for a very well organised event. I am most certainly looking forward to next year's events calendar- the dates are already in my diary.

Thank YOU for hosting us so brilliantly on Sunday. Dad and I had a great time and were both really impressed by the very smooth running of your festival. It was a total pleasure being there with you, Helen, and the team. Congrats to all concerned on a job well done. It was fun to be a part of it.
